A little place where simplicity and serenity reign

Dating back 30 some-odd years to the quaint French cafés that served as neighborhood hubs when Alex Brennan-Martin was training at the prestigious La Varrene culinary arts school in Paris, he has since longed to “have a little place” where simplicity and serenity reign.

Fast-forward to the Fall of 2009 when Alex’s life-long dream became a double-dip reality, opening Bistro Alex and Café Rosé in Houston’s west side.

Nestled in an affluent community, Bistro Alex and Café Rosé are as welcoming to pedestrians and folks in neighboring bedroom communities as they are to professionals from nearby business districts and guests in the adjoining upscale Hotel Sorella.

From the greeters to the waiters, chefs and every associate behind the scenes, our team is focused on superior culinary standards and gracious Southern hospitality.

Bistro Alex and Café Rosé are progressive additions to the Brennan’s restaurant dynasty. And while the restaurants are new, the decades-old traditions of Brennan’s of Houston — dating back to the 1967 opening as a sister restaurant to the world-famous Commander’s Palace in New Orleans — are a mainstay.

Appealing to a broad and diverse range of patrons, Café Rosé offers on-the-go cafe dining, while Bistro Alex provides casual yet elegant bistro dining and service to Hotel Sorella’s guestrooms, Moroccan-style bar and lounge, and rooftop pool. And following in the footsteps of Brennan’s of Houston, Bistro Alex and Café Rosé dish up an impressive culinary journey, unrivaled friendly service and memorable dining experiences in a welcoming ambience.
